Certificate Course for Meetings & Conventions Students - Sustainable Events 101
The World is in Crisis - learn how your future events can be part of the solution
This course will help you quickly make your next event more sustainable. With downloadable checklists and guides, the course material will be an indispensable tool for you and your team to take action today against the climate crisis.
The world is in crisis - from droughts to floods to extreme weather. Travel and events contribute about 10% of world carbon emission and are a key influence on behaviour. By making our events examples of sustainability and leading the key areas for climate change like food waste and land use - our effect on this challenge will be great.
You might think you have all the time in the world to become sustainable later, unfortunately, the world needs you to be the change now!
The easy, short modules will take you through everything you need to know from an overview of the problem, to how to get started immediately making your next event more green. |We cover materials, food and beverage and overall event design. The course is just over an hour total time, but broken into small, easy to digest lessons of 3 to 5 minutes, which you can watch at your own pace. Action items are listed for each section so you can put your learning to use right away.
